Free and Boundless Realms

Mon Jul 20, 2009, 5:41 PM
For a while now, I've had this obsession with an online game. It's called Free Realms.
If you don't know Free Realms: Try it now. I don't care: Just play it. There's no reason why you shouldn't. i mean, 1) It's free 2) There's fairly low system specs needed, almost any recent computer should be able to play it, 3) Installs/updates are small and quick, almost non-existant 4) No previous knowledge of online game required. If you never played a Massively Multiplayer Online game, don't worry: FR has been made to be accessible by all, both casual and hardcore of video gamers 5) So much to do, even on the free side. There's combat, cooking, pet training, racing, mini games, and more. And finally: It looks great.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm pitching the game to you: I'm just loving my time with Free Realms. that, And my visit to Disneyland is waaay overdue, so FR is keeping me from remembering that...

Touching back on the previous post months ago: It has been over a year since being back at Disneyland. for me, That's too long away from the resort. That's not the only thing I'm missing: Comic-Con is coming up in San Diego. yeah, I went to Wondercon here in San Francisco last-post, but I would KILL to go to Comic-Con.

On the movie side, there's only 1 movie I've seen and is probably the best out of all the summer-movie crop: Disney/Pixar's Up. I mentioned last time that I saw pretty much half of the movie, and a while back I finally finished it, this time in 3D. If you still never seen Up: Just see it. I know many are disappointed with several of the summer movies out there with the big hype for each of them, but Up doesn't disappoint.
Next up on my must-see list has to be District-9. It's a different-enough movie for me to see it. Different the same way Cloverfield was different.

I think that's all I'll talk about this time...
See you in Free Realms!

oh, Also: Check out a new collection I made in my favorites called "The Art of Free Realms". Some great stuff are in there...
